Der 1. Kölner Karate Club "Bushido" e.V. ist stolz auf den Erfolg unseres internationalen Turniers "Cologne Open" am 6. Mai 2023 in Köln Porz! Mit Teilnehmern aus Deutschland, aber auch aus den Niederlanden, Belgien und Luxemburg war das Turnier ein voller Erfolg.
Über 600 Teilnehmer zeigten ihr Können in den Disziplinen Kata und Kumite und sorgten für eine mitreißende Atmosphäre in der Turnhalle der Lise-Meitner Gesamtschule in Porz.
Wir möchten uns ausdrücklich und herzlich bei den vielen Helfern aus unserem Verein und den engagierten Eltern bedanken, die beim Auf- und Abbau, dem Buffet und an den Kampfflächen mitgeholfen haben! Ohne eure Unterstützung wäre das Turnier nicht möglich gewesen! Auch einen herzlichen Dank an alle Kampfrichter, unseren Ärzten Miriam, Enikö und Zovko, unserem Sponsor Arawaza und last but not least der Hallenwärtin Yasmin.
Das Ausrichten eines so großen Turniers war eine sehr große Herausforderung für uns, und wir sind froh, dass an diesem Tag alles glatt lief. Das gute Wetter und die positive Stimmung auf den Tatamis und bei den Besuchern haben das Turnier zu einem besonderen Ereignis gemacht.
Auch unsere eigenen Athleten haben großartige Leistungen erbracht, mit insgesamt 2 Goldmedaillen, 3 Silbermedaillen und 5 Bronzemedaillen.
Gemeinsam haben wir gezeigt, dass Karate verbindet und unsere Leidenschaft für diesen Sport uns über Ländergrenzen hinweg vereint.

The 1st Cologne Karate Club "Bushido" e.V. is proud of the success of our international tournament "Cologne Open" on 6 May 2023 in Cologne Porz! With participants from Germany, but also from the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, the tournament was a complete success.
Over 600 participants showed their skills in the disciplines Kata and Kumite and created a rousing atmosphere in the gymnasium of the Lise-Meitner Comprehensive School in Porz.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the many helpers from our club and the committed parents who helped with the set-up and dismantling, the buffet and the fighting areas! Without your support the tournament would not have been possible! Also a big thank you to all the judges, our doctors Miriam, Enikö and Zovko, our Sponsor Arawaza and last but not least to the hall attendant Yasmin.
Organising such a big tournament was a big challenge for us and we are glad that everything went smoothly on this day. The good weather and the positive atmosphere on the tatamis and among the visitors made the tournament a special event.
Our own athletes also put in great performances, with a total of 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 5 bronze medals.
Together we have shown that karate unites and our passion for this sport unites us across national borders.
